Bio
I am a mixed media artist and have been painting since I was a child. I was greatly influenced by my grandmother, an oil painter and my brother, a metal smith. I went on to study art at Ohio University and have received private instruction throughout the years. I am a member of the Riverside Artists Gallery, the Ohio Gourd Society and the American Gourd Society.
My Inspiration
Like most artists, my inspiration comes from basic nature shapes and forms. My artwork represents an exuberance of colors, optimism and the joy that I get from the simple abundance that life offers. My style has an abstract and impressionistic flair. Whimsey makes an occasional appearance, as some of my work includes anything with fur, feathers or scales. I am a lover of all animals big or small.
